Hiking and Mountain Biking

Sedona Hiking and Mountain Biking

Sedona Hiking and Mountain BikingTackle the terrain by foot or by wheel on a Sedona hiking or mountain biking trek. Sedona hiking and mountain biking – there’s no more ideal way to see the red rock mesas and buttes that comprise the city than by approaching them on a designated trail. And with cairns and trailhead signs marking each one, you shouldn’t have any problems finding a scenic path to take.

Sedona’s variable terrain makes it an exhilarating and at times challenging place to hike or bike. There are plenty of packed-dirt passageways for the beginner, but many others require you to travail rocks and boulders, or move along dramatic canyon dropoffs, and are thus better for seasoned veterans. Flat, hilly, and in-between—all are here for you in Sedona, and all offer dramatic vistas of the area.

When off on a Sedona hiking or mountain biking adventure, please keep in mind that Sedona has a desert climate, so it is necessary to come prepared. Make sure you wear a hat and sunblock to protect your skin from the UV rays, and always bring plenty of water so that you can stay hydrated throughout your journey. Also important is that you choose a trail that is appropriate to your skill and conditioning level. Consult local authorities for help on that selection process. If you would like to rent a mountain bike while in Sedona, try the following hiking and mountain biking companies: Mountain Bike Heaven or Absolute Bikes
